“A good book should leave you… slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading it.”
I don’t know about you, but a good book is magical. Legendary even. It’s like living a second or third life in just a couple of days, or hours, for the fast readers among us. Others will read the same book as you, but your connection with the plot, setting, characters is a unique and personal one. You draw your own conclusion about the personality of each character, how extraordinary the world is, and if you feel the hero will survive until the end. For me, one of those books would have to be Maze Runner by James Dashner. A captivating and impressive tale that made you feel trapped, scared, and even hopeless. I didn’t feel good at the end of it (in a good way though). I was emotionally drained and yet satisfied when I closed that book. Then, after a period of recovery, I went on the hunt for the next story and was not disappointed.
